About Girls to Women Organization (GtoW) – Kenya

Empowering Girls and Women to Believe, Transform & Inspire

Girls to Women Organization (GtoW) is a women- and youth-led community-based human rights organization in Kenya dedicated to advancing gender equality, protecting girls’ rights, and strengthening women’s leadership at the grassroots level.

We work to create safe, inclusive communities where girls and women are respected, protected, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Through mentorship, education support, advocacy, and economic empowerment initiatives, we uplift marginalized and vulnerable populations and provide sustainable opportunities for growth.

where we work

Where We Work

Nairobi, Kenya

We work with public schools in informal settlements and peri-urban areas, where period poverty, stigma and limited SRHR education disrupt education and well-being.

School-Based Approach

Our long-term, school-based programs combine menstrual health education, SRHR, access to sustainable products, and youth leadership development.

Community-Centered

We engage students, educators, families, and communities as active partners to create lasting change.
